Cecil County Mid-Atlantic Event 6/09This was a first for this event and turned out to be an overwhelming success! Vintage race cars, show cars, cruisers, hot-rods, everything was there. As usual the weather held out and proved to be one of the nicest days this spring. Hundreds of cars were there and everyone had a great time.
Be sure to go to the GALLERY on this site and check out the pictures.
Was your car on TV? Are you sure? There were many shots of the show field and the general parking at the event. Look for your car in the TV show. You can go to the forums and look for the heading "Car shows/Events" and go to "TV shows from this season here"
Thanks to John Presley for hosting this event. I have been working with him planning a couple more events soon in this area. |

Opening Day at Pike Creek Cruise NightThis was the first cruise night at Pike Creek Shopping center for the 2009 cruise season. It is back at The shopping center in front of K-Mart where it has been in years past. Most recently it was a block down at Charcoal Pit. Good to see everyone. A few new cars out this year, and I got to meet a couple of you from the forums. Also some new additions to some cars we saw last season. It is nice to see that even with the tough economy (so I hear) that we are still able to get the toys out and enjoy them.
This was also an opportunity to shoot our second show this season. If you see us with the camera and microphone PLEASE say hello and show me your car. We are always looking for interesting people to talk to. Crazy4Carz is and has been about regular car guys and our cars.
See you at the shows! |

Season Ending Big eventsBoth Hershey and Fall Ocean city were big events to wrap up the season. Fall Carlisle was the weekend before and this is a bitter sweet time of the year for me. This is a great time to attend events like this, I am always looking for some part for a current project and at the same time it is the end of another show season. Now time for wrenching and doing what ever we can on our cars to pass the time untill warm weather rolls around again. For those of you in the south or out west in warmer climates there are the times us in the northeast are envious. There is much to do still on Project Dart, be sure to watch in the forums as the progress continues. |

Mopar Madness at Nur TempleA surprising good turnout for the Mopar Madness show at the
Nur Temple benefiting the Food Bank of Delaware. Anybody
driving north on Rt 40 couldn't miss the sea of colorful cars
shining in the perfect fall weather. A huge turnout of the modern
Mopars looks like Mopar shows may outlast the brand. The old
rides were there too, with a lightweight hemi super stocker and
a Sox & Martin Cuda.
Be sure to check out the Gallery on this site for more pictures from this event.
Our own Jimmy Biggs was on hand to get some good video of the collection of cars attending. Be sure to check the forums for the video. And for more automotive videos like this be sure to go to www.YourWayNetwork.Com

Not everyone showed up at the same time and that was helpful because there are only two lifts. This was a successful event that we will be repeating. Thanks to everyone that attended an thanks to Jimmy Biggs and Your way Network for getting some video of the event. Click or cut and paste the link below and check out the video. Also go to the forums for more information on events like this.

Ocean City Spring event Huge successOften during the Ocean City events we see some rain. This past event proved to be different! Fantastic weather. I was surprised to see so many different cars this year. There were some of the familiar faces as well, so many of the popular hot rods that show up year after year. It was good to see many of you again and great to meet so many new people. Both ends of Ocean City were popular as usual with Hooters parking lot at the North end and tht Inlet parking lot at the southern end, while the convention center held up the middle.
T-Bucket Bob was gracious enough to provide literally hundreds of pictures that he took while down there. (thanks so very much) Many of these can be seen in the GALLERY section of this website. There is an ongoing discussion in the forums, please stop by and say hello. If you attended this year tell us what you thought, if you know of another event in the area be sure to let us (and everyone) know. Post it in the forums, but most importantly post in in the Events section. It is FREE and EASY!
As some of you know Project Dart made an appearance in Ocean City. Unfortunaely after a couple hours cruising up and down the coastal Highway, the engine started a knock. At this time the engine has been pulled and is on its way to the builder for a diagnosis. Follow the progress in the forums under Muscle cars.
See you at the car shows! |

Fox Run Cruise night, Always a good show.Last weekend was Fox Run Cruise.
This was the first "Fox Run" of the season. This is the Cruise to attend the third Saturday of the month. As usual, this was a well attended show. Everyone is encouraged to be on their best behavior at these events, remember, there are people everywhere and children are in attendance. A couple bike riders were driving recklessly and were called on it! WELL DONE! Everyone is always welcome at these events, but remember your actions reflect the kind of character you have. Lets take it easy out there.
LOOKING FOR A NEW DESKTOP PICTURE?
Check out the GALLERY! There are many many pictures there. I have changed my desktop picture a few times. many of these are suitable for printing and framing. There are quite a few good photographers out there. POST YOUR PICTURES FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY. Have you attended any local shows/events? You may be surprised to see a picture of your car in the Gallery. Take a minute to scroll through the different albums, or start on of your own.

Another Spectacular show at HagleyMike writes:
"What a great show, something for everybody. The best assembly of European, British and antiques I've seen this year. The weather was beyond hot but there was plenty of shade to escape the heat. Nice job by the people at Hagley for the efficient remote parking bus service which made getting to the event easy with a short walk."
I have attended this event as both a participant and a spectator. It has never fallen short of any expectations. The quality and diversity of the cars is outstanding. Mike mentions the British, European, and antiques, there is so much more. There are muscle cars that show up year after year that only attend this and a couple other shows and there are cars that are "new" that I have never seen at any shows.
Let's not forget the vendors, the food there is also a treat. Don't make the mistake of eating before you arrive, there is too much good food there. Finally Hagley, this is a national treasure. Take the time to attend a tour of this landmark. There is so much history right here in our own backyard. No need to wait until next years car show, call and make an appointment to see this piece of history for yourself.
Be sure to look in the gallery on this site for more pictures from this event. |

Newark Assembly Plant Annual ShowWho hosts a car show in the rain?
The Chrysler assembly plant in Newark, Delaware.
What do you do when it rains?
You break out your Mopar Club rain jacket, of course.
It's said all the time, Mopar guys are crazy. I would have to believe any other show outside of a British car club would have people scrambling to get home at the first sign of rain.
The Newark Assembly plant puts on a great show, complete with good food, a tour of the plant and a super place to display the cars on the front lawn of the building. The trees that normally provide shelter from the sun, provided shelter from the rain this year but it looked like everybody had a good time.
Open to all makes and models, more than a few brand X's showed up and hung out for the free car wash. I'm not sure of the future of the assembly plant but I hope it hangs around continuing pride in American manufacturing and benefiting the area with events like this.

Corvette Rally to benefit Make A wishCheck out our latest show in the TV Section.
This week we were in Atlantic City New Jersey. No not at the Casinos, rather we went to the Corvette Rally to benefit "Make A Wish" organization. Watch this week as the Crazy4Carz Hummer tries to keep up with over a hundred Corvettes cruising the AC Expressway and the Parkway to our final destination. Be sure to watch as the President of Make A Wish explains the history of the organization. Actually a very heart warming story. Also Many shots of great corvettes of each generation at the show and cruising down the highway. Great episode.
Be sure to watch the last portion to see our very own Tony making his first TV appearance with the "new" Mav.

Delaware/Wilmington Camaro Show on the RiverfrontCLICK THE "TV" BUTTON AT THE TOP OF EVERY SCREEN TO FIND THE LATEST TV SHOW AIRING NOW.
Just posted in the "TV" section is the Camaro show that we shot recently. This was a large gathering of local Camaros from every generation, from the earliest cars to the latest production camaros.
In an effort to bring something continually different in the car hobby, we will be looking at one of the most popular pony cars produced. Do you know the first year for the Camaro? There is a new Camaro slated for future production but they were discontinued for a while, what was the last year they were made? How many times or how many different model years were camaros the official Pace Car?
All this and more in this episode of Crazy4Carz.Com TV. |

Go back in time to 1968...Introducing Road Runner and the new Charger for 1968. See the Manx Cuda and meet the legendary Ramchargers at the Carlisle Events 1968 Dealership recreation. Super display! Last year they featured a 1967 Dealership.
Look in the Gallery for more pictures of this 1968 Dealership!
Looking for a trip in a time machine? all it took was a visit to the 1968 dodge/Plymouth Dealer. There was everything there including a 1968 Superstocker!
There was much to see this year at Chryslers at Carlisle. There was an antique "rocketship ride" that had been converted from an amusement park ride to a driveable vehicle. This was driving around the fairgrounds giving rides to both kids and adults remembering "Back then". There are pictures of this in the forums under events, Chryslers at Carlisle. We are very fortunate to live in the northeast within easy driving distance of Carlisle PA. Every month there is another event that focuses on some part of the automotive hobby, including a Spring Carlisle to kick the season off and a Fall Carlisle to wrap things up for the season. Do yourself a favor and make it a point ot visit Carlisle at some point during the season. Chech the events section for more of what is happening.

Harrington Street Rod JamboreeFishcleaner wrote:
19th Annual Southern Delaware Street Rod Association Jamboree at the Harrington, DE state fairgrounds. Beautiful weather, a little hot tho but a great turn out with amazing cars, good food and one of the better burnout contests I've seen in a while.
I have been to this event in the past and I can never believe the quality of the cars and the originality of the design. There is always something different. I hear people complain they can't afford any "nice" cars or any "cool" cars, many times you hear "all the good stuff is taken or too expensive" Look around there are cool cars all over the place that can be made into Street rods, hot rods and race cars. Look in the gallery Fishcleaner has posted some very nice stuff there from this event.
Didn't make it this year? be sure not to miss this one next year!
